Nominators Answer

Nominee's story :

I would like to nominate the out of hours domestics at Blackpool Victoria hospital, who have worked extremely hard in very difficult circumstances throughout the covid19 pandemic. They have all had an exceptional work ethic going above and beyond to help us keep our patients and staff safe. In order to maintain safe patient flow throughout the Trust they have been asked to clean numerous areas multiple times a night. They have been uncomplaining and have done this with a smile on their faces, no questions asked. They have worked enthusiastically and diligently even though they were working in high risk areas, putting themselves at risk and been exhausted at the end of every shift after cleaning full wards / areas numerous times each shift. They have been invaluable members of a very big out of hours team and though often seen as a small cog in a very big wheel, the hospital could not have run without them.
