Nominee's story :
Tracy Brown joined BartsHealth 20 plus years ago. Tracy has developed and led & supported the e-Rostering team at BartsHealth that implemented, embedded and reshaped the Trust's 5 Hospitals, both before and during both waves of the pandemic. During the pandemic Tracy's leadership delivered a huge amount of substantive re-deployments onto rotas, ad hoc bank shifts, alongside volunteering to set up Vaccination Rotas across North East London and at Excel, Nightingale Hospital Rotas at Excel, was redeployed into Excel during first wave to support Government staffing implrmentation & into ITU at RLH during second wave to Manage their inbox and Rota. Tracy set up the Army Medical redeployments, set up NEL Critical Care Transport service rotas, Managed the largest ITU rota in the UK of 500 staff, ran staffing reports for ITU 3 times daily, oversaw development of Occupational Health reports, Public Health reports, Hot spots reports, set up numerous pay awards and Overtime payments, has been an exemplary role model to her team, showing compassion and empathy when others were struggling or need advice, always made time for colleagues when her own volume of work was enormous, all this whilst Nursing a broken ankle, having ICT equipment & Telephony failures, carrying a vacancy and staff sickness in the team. Tracy's leadership drove the resolutions of barriers to enable efficiency.
Tracy has continued to drive us forward as a team with quality improvements, embracing Automation and Collaborative working projects and offered her support to her colleagues across the Trust to improve services across the organisation and as a source of information to NHSE/I and Allocate Software, assisted in equitable policy development, offers strategic leadership, with a high level of interpersonal & persuasion skills and a critical friend to the organisation, Senior HR leadership team, whilst supporting her own team to develop and grow. Tracy's focus has always been about the impact we have for patients, this is evident to her team. The debt BartsHealth and East London owes her is simply enormous.
