Nominators Answer

Nominee's story :

Amy has worked excessively throughout the last year to ensure that the changing environment Covid-19 presented to the Trust was supported with the urgency it demanded in order to see both clinical staff and patients being provided with the facilities they needed in an uncertain and fast-paced situation. Amy isn't one to shy away from "getting stuck in" and rolling her sleeves up to make sure the job gets done and has put her problem solving skills to excellent use throughout this period, building on well established professional relationships throughout the Trust by delivering in times of need - and being known as a reliable manager who could pull through when the pressure was on. All of this, like most Trust employees, was in addition to her more routine responsibilities that sit within her role. However she also started to study a degree during this time and was struck down with a bout of the dreaded Covid-19. She has maintained a positive attitude to work throughout and continues to deliver quality schemes within the difficult constraints handed to her. As a new member to the team, and very aware that Amy's time is extremely in demand, I have experienced nothing but support and encouragement in joining the organisation and attempting to find my way. She has acted as a mentor and an advisor, and always finds the time for me despite having a to-do list as long as your arm that only ever keeps growing. They say the "good" people who reliably deliver quality outcomes always get the most work sent their way, and Amy clearly falls into this category by going far above and beyond - and deserves some recognition for this.
