Nominators Answer
Nominee's story :
Jaqui has throughout the last 12 months of hell continued to drive us all forward, working long hard days and nights. demonstrating the values and work ethics we should all aspire too. Her focus on all matters from the detail to the big picture always provides the right solution to all manner of problems we have faced within procurement for obvious reasons. Her remarkable sense of humor has kept the team engaged and giggling along our way creating much needed diversions from the challenges we have faced together.
Jaqui maybe a leader in terms of her role and remuneration, but she is without question in the trenches with us, one of the team and always there for us.
She always comes to see the team on a very frequent basis, checks in and ensures nobody is left out. Her remedies for our wellbeing etc. can't always be fixed with a specialty tea bag but what a way to start... I've been struggling with a long term health issue throughout the period and not a week of the 52 of the year has gone by without her enquiring about me.
As new and demanding PPE targets, events, demands, queries and systems are all kept in balance Jaqui has always had an open door, an ear for the issue and usually a solution if not straight away, within hours. No stone is left unturned until a solution is found, given the wide range of areas we have interacted with this is sometimes nothing short of miraculous. Infection Control, PPE teams, Supply Chain, Trust Boards, Community Groups, Council Centers, Vaccination Clinics, Transport, Warehouse Management to name a few.
Our ideas and solutions are always sought, we have a lot of experience within the team and across several sites too, always these resources are pooled and great practice throughout the trust is championed. her right hand man here at HRI this month won the Gold nomination for the works he as supported Jaqui with, he is our team Leader and demonstrates many of the traits Jaqui does too.
We have all had holidays cancelled, lockdown issues, we've had weekend working and some remarkably long days or nights with the matters and consequences we have al faced. Jaqui has been at our side, leading from the front and keeping team going. We have buckled at points, we have strained to remain calm or balanced at times but I have never seen Jaqui loose her professionalism not once.
We've unfortunately like the rest of the country had bereavements, illness, absence, uncertainty, questions and of course challenges. Jaqui has been a rock for us, but a rock with a soft funny side too.
Always able to create time and compassion to listen, always there to help us through a challenge.
Thank you - our superstar / superhuman.
