Nominee's story :
The Covid Vaccine admin team have truly gone above and beyond at pace to support delivery of the programme of 1st dose vaccinations to over 10,000 individuals across our organisation and the wider health & social care system in Bolton. The team had to deploy at very short notice over the festive period. The team worked around the clock often late into the evening and at the weekend to deliver the vaccine at pace. The team had to adapt to the every changing national guidance around the vaccine, new booking systems with little training, responding to queries via telephone and email and short notice reporting to GM and into national systems. slot utilisation against vacancy supply was constantly monitored to ensure no wastage. They worked collaboratively with wider colleagues. Each member of the team has shown compassion, caring in very often stressful situations with the volume of staff coming through, the team not only managed the system but supported with the flow and the regular wiping down of chairs, etc. They ensured all consent paperwork was completed correctly to enable the smooth process supporting the vaccinators. They have also worked closely with the CCG to ensure that those staff unable to have the first vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine have been offered this throughout the wider bolton system. The admin team have been the bread that hold the sandwich together - managing and controlling the booking at the front end, uploading data at the back end of the process, without which there would be no sandwich. The team listened to feedback and made some changes to 2nd dose bookings which improved the efficiency and flow. Overall the admin team have truly embedded our trust values, everything has worked seamlessly and overall feedback has been very positive from all involved. Below are a couple of examples of feedback:
