Nominators Answer
Nominee's story :
The Team go above and beyond when recruiting Doctors from Overseas, providing pastoral support by assisting them with locating accommodation, creating bank accounts, providing advice and guidance on the local areas, including information on schools and GP surgeries.
The team create a positive first impression to those applying for posts at the trust. They gain the trust of those they come into contact with, by being transparent and honest with the information they provide.
It has been increasingly difficult for the team due to decreased resources and increased workloads, especially with the Industrial Action that has taken place in 2023.
The team have worked tirelessly to ensure both Trainee Doctors and Trust Doctors are safe to work, by completing the pre-employment checks to the highest standards and flagging issues should any arise to ensure a safe workforce.
The team work closely with Divisions to ensure gaps in the service are advertised correctly and keep the division up to date on the recruitment process of applicants once an offer of employment has been granted.
The team adapted to working from home during the Covid outbreak without affecting the high standards the team adhere to achieve.
The team keep a cool head when dealing with irate individuals as they provide one culture of care to all and do their best to understand and be compassionate to peoples issues.
During the past year it has been a significantly difficult year and the team has pulled together and remained resilient during difficult times, without waivering from the one culture of care values and behaviours set by the Trust. They continue to support each other and those they come into contact with.
I would like to nominate the team as they do their work without asking from praise or acknowledgment from others.
Since the team is being disbanded due to changes in the structure of the workforce, I wanted to ensure they are recognised for their outstanding work ethics and support the team have provided to so many.
