Marie, the esteemed administrator of Hayworth Ward, epitomizes dedication and compassion in her role. Her commitment extends far beyond the standard administrative duties. She consistently goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and positive environment for both staff and patients, particularly in the old age psychiatric unit.
Marie's unique approach involves personal gestures that significantly enhance patient care. She regularly purchases birthday cakes for patient's birthdays, ensuring every patient feels celebrated and valued on their special day. Her thoughtfulness is further exemplified through her actions such as going out of her way to purchase meals for patients such as comforting meals like fish and chips and etc to help support patient with poor oral intake eat more and be more comfortable.
Additionally, Marie recognizes the importance of emotional support for elderly patients. She personally selects and provides toys, such as dolls and books, which are more than mere playthings; they are therapeutic tools that help in alleviating the anxieties and challenges faced by patients in psychiatric care. These dolls often become cherished companions for patients, aiding in their emotional well-being.
