Nominee's story :
Andrea has worked with the psychosis outpatient teams for a number of years. She has been critical in supporting the team and patients. She often has excellent feedback from patients who make contact with our service that she is understanding and directs them to the correct place to help them. Andrea is very involved with the team and is a very positive presence around the office. She is very compassionate and has been there to support the team both as a whole and individuals during difficult times. For example, when she is aware of a team member having a difficult time she will be very proactive in finding ways to access support from the wider team for this staff member. She is always someone people feel happy to talk to and is a kind and positive presence in our team. She is also extremely well organised and keeps the team running to plan and helps make improvements within our team and wider trust systems. When I started in my new job I was very lucky to have had Andrea to support me through that time. Andrea has shown good leadership within the team and has helped those she is managing through some highly challenging clinical situations. She has gone above and beyond to help during periods of disruption through Covid and industrial disputes and will encourage staff to prioritise their own wellbeing as well. We have been very lucky to have Andrea in our team and she has recently secured a new and exciting promotion within the trust. The team have all shared stories since finding this out about times Andrea has supported them and patients and how sad we are to see her leave, but how happy we are that she has found success and is moving forward in her career.
