Nominee's story :
Sadly at the beginning of Covid Danielle's manager lost his life to Covid, Danielle stepped up into the role temporarily for over a year , after which she applied for the permanent role and was successful in securing the role. Since taking the reins for two hospital sites to run the very busy health records departments, Danielle has driven the department forward with innovative ideas as well as engaging the staff to go on her journey .
During this time Danielle has experienced devastating personal loss twice in a short period of time within her family , but due to her resilience she returned to work with the same candor, sadly one of her staff unexpectedly passed away, Danielle dug deep to ensure all of her team were supported by all of the Organisations bereavement teams and checked in with her staff ensuring the were okay and had all of the support the felt , alongside this Danielle also supported the staff members family on what was a deeply upsetting process, guiding them through the minefield of matters to resolve the passing of their loved one.
, she personally supported myself when i had a heart attack at one of her sites and unfortunately my wife and myself also contracted Covid , Danielle kept in contact while i was in care ensuring that if i needed anything as my disabled wife was unable to visit as it was a distance from our home
Danielle is a pinnacle of good always putting others needs in front of herself and is a fantastic example of what a kind caring human being filled with kindness looks like , who strives to be a better version of herself each and every day offering support to her peer group
I am proud to call Danielle not only a colleague but a good friend who never thinks of herself but that of all others
