Nominee's story :

It is with great pleasure that I would like to nominate the Supply Chain team in recognition of their outstanding commitment to improving working practices, driving innovation, and delivering value for money. The Supply Chain team has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to improving their work processes, seeking out innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Trust, and delivering significant cost savings while maintaining a strong focus on value for money. The team's ability to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions has been a key strength. They have developed and implemented a range of process improvements, such as automating key supply chain processes, streamlining Procurement processes, and optimising inventory management practices. These efforts have not only delivered cost savings but have also improved the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain function. The Supply Chain team has also fostered a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging their colleagues to identify areas for improvement and to share best practices. They have provided training opportunities to their colleagues and supported their ongoing professional development. The team has also demonstrated a strong commitment to knowledge sharing, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, and promoting an open and inclusive culture while supporting PHU core values. One standout example of the team's commitment to improving working practices was their ongoing work on an inventory management enhancement. The team periodically conduct a comprehensive review of the procurement process, identifying areas where efficiencies could be gained and where innovative solutions could be implemented. Through this process, they were able to ensure full maximisation inventory and supply chain benefits for the Trust translated into lowest ultimate cost of supply. In summary, the Supply Chain team has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving working practices, driving innovation, and delivering value for money. They are truly deserving of the Working Together Always Improving, and I strongly recommend them for this prestigious honour. Their dedication and exceptional work have been a true asset to the organisation. Thank you for your consideration.
