Nominee's story :
Joe works for the digital team with NHS Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Joe holds many responsibilities, not just as a development team leader, but at the forefront of development work. Joe works incredibly hard, throughout various challenging times. Joe has the ability to work on development projects, to assure an overall programme whilst maintaining other trust priorities with BAU business as usual work. Joe also looks out for colleagues and aims to remove any potential stressful workload from colleagues and members of his team, by finding out how resource can be utilised in the best way to achieve deadlines in not only a strategic but a safe and healthy way for team members/staff. Whilst juggling many responsibilities, Joe was always happy to help with any query and remained helpful, approachable and determined, within the AlderCare Meditech Expanse EPR Programme. Patient safety was at the forefront of many priorities for Joe including protection of our most needed digital services, including design involvement with helpful ideas to better improve systems for staff use and patient safety assurance. Joe is a great asset to the Digital Team at Alder Hey. Joe continuously works with many individuals to achieve a common goal. Joe always came forward with any concerns, raised risks and issues via the appropriate route, escalated where and when needed, to ensure no stone unturned. Joe should be celebrated for his hard work and working with a mixture of AlderCare specialist EPR Contractors, as well as Meditech and Trust colleagues throughout a very complex EPR Expanse Programme. Joe is not only a great colleague to work with, Joe also has a pleasant sense of humour, friendly and approachable, and is always helpful to people, no matter your role or position. Joe is an unsung hero who deserves recognition for their hard work from an NHS IT and digital space.
