Nominee's story :

Julia works in our very busy , loud , Therapy ( Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy ) office where up to 20 staff members hot desk . Julia goes above and beyond every single day to bring sanity and order in to our extremely busy office . Julia always communicates in a calm professional manner whether that be with staff , outside organisations , outside companies , or other NHS Trusts , patients or patients relatives . Contact with patients , outpatients and relatives can be very emotive conversations . Julia has an amazing skill of working around all of the emotion , ensuring the patient feels heard but getting all of the important information needed to pass on the the appropriate member of staff . As I have already mentioned our office is extremely busy and loud with all o f the information being passed between different team member about patients . Our patients are extremely complex and there can be daily or hourly changes that need to be discussed . Despite the high decibels Julia manages to keep her calm . Since joining our team a little over 2 years ago , she has implemented new systems and ways for use to store and access patients information .She also is our own in house IT expert for 365. Julia can navigate her way ( correctly ) through any red tape. Julia is at the heart of our team and is affectionally called the Oracle . There is nothing that Julia doesn't know on the rare occasion that she doesn't she without fail find the correct information for us . Julia doesn't get a moment of peace and quite throughout the day but is never Sharpe of tongue , never flustered and is always , friendly ,caring and professional . Julia also takes on a Pastoral role for the team , if she see's someone upset , frustrated or out of sorts . Julia will be there asking if they are alright and giving them an ear . She also takes on organising any activities outside of work as well as organising birthday cards for the whole team and planting the card in front of us for us all to sign . In short we really don't know what as a whole team we would do with Julia . She is our HERO .
