Nominee's story :
The team: The Education Campus Team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT)
The team have a vital role in ensuring that service users of the Campus sites and rooms have the best experience enabling a fit for purpose learning, education and training facilities.
There are multiple members of the teams including: Receptionists, Administrators, Audio Visual Technicians, Operational Managers and Campus Managers led by a Head of Business Development who cover the facilities across three MFT sites.
Within the remit of the Education Campus team they have in excess of 70 teaching rooms/lecture theatres and can accommodate in the region of 1,900 people on any one day within our campus sites, whilst supporting learners, educators, running internal, external events, conferences, training, teaching in the rooms and lecture theatres.
They provide expert support to events and service users from an administration perspective, expert support from an audio-visual perspective and niche event management and support available to all Campus users.
The teams look after a multitude of booking requests, booking confirmations (and some cancellations), audio visual support and maintenance to ensure that presentations are delivered, refreshments and hospitality arrangements, whilst ensuring that the rooms are used to the maximum capacity in the most efficient way.
Over the last 12 months there have been some major challenges and changes with the campus team and the staff have embraced these challenges and changes, evidencing the extent of their resilience, leadership and commitments to ensure that the Campus sites are a safe, inclusive and calm environment for delivering education, innovative and forward thinking whilst ensuring exceptional levels of customer support for the plethora of multi-disciplinary internal and external service users.
The Campus management team are excellent role models ensuring that they communicate effectively, work together, support each other, be open and honest whilst respecting each other. They meet regularly to share their experiences, best practice and ensure that the same level service is consistent, available to all, at all sites.
The teams are also supporting members of the team to grow and develop enabling them to be the best they can be, ultimately benefiting all and in the end our patients.
The dedicated team has an exceptional work ethic, working tirelessly within the working week and out of hours, ensuring that all bookings and events go ahead and are delivered without issues ensuing the best outcomes, whilst providing the vital support that keeps the Campus sites running front of house and behind the scenes on a daily basis.
