Nominee's story :
Where do I start, firstly Pam is more like a "Mum" to us in the Enhanced team. We work with Veterans in Crisis, and she is always there for us. It's been a tough time throughout this year with the change of staff and the way our team has changed from the High Intensity service, to OpCourage Enhanced team. We have lost some amazing team members and a change in the way we work, has been a big change to the Clinicians.
But Pam is always there, she supports us constantly, checking in with us when we are out on our visits to make sure that we are safe, as we all work remotely.
Pam is a speed demon on note taking in our Referral meetings and MDT/Huddle meetings, even when some of our Clinicians are Geordies and can speak fast!! Pam is right there and doesn't miss a beat.!!
Pam's skills with contacting other organisations like the Army, Royal Navy, and RAF to gain Proof of service for us, is second to none, I'm sure Pam has some special power that we can get the information for our Veterans so quickly it supports our Veterans to gain access to other services with this information.
Pam also supports and organiser's the "Enhanced away days", and this can be in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Co.Durham. All of which she organises travel for everyone to get to the away days, to sorting and making sure that the venue's are aware of food allergies etc. (Believe me she is hot on this one, as I have seen her rath when the venue has failed on this one!!!) Pam is so protective of all her staff!.
Because the whole team work across the whole of the NE and NW of the country, and cover the huge area, Pam is always available to support us in what she does, Pam goes beyond her work, and is always available to lend an ear, support with contacting IT when that fails because of the remote work that we do, cheers us up when we are having a difficult day with a Veteran. But most of all being the best Admin MUM anyone could ask for.
Our team couldn't work without our Pam, So please consider Pam for a Unsung Hero Award for her continued support to our amazing team "OpCourage Enhanced Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing service"
