The Only National Awards For Non-Medical / Non-Clinical NHS Staff & Volunteers

Enid is a Volunteer at Breast Services department within Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, where she was treated herself several years ago.

Enid recognised the need for some kind of bag to carry a drain that many breast patients get when they are discharged from the hospital. Using her dressmaking background, Enid designed and started producing fashion bags for breast cancer patients out of her own pocket and won an Unsung Hero Award in 2016.

There was a double success for Enid as she then was asked to be a special guest speaker at the Unsung Hero Awards 2017 Ceremony, increasing funds to support her volunteering.
