"I just wanted to say a big massive thank you to everyone who organises the Awards. It is so nice to see what is really going on in our NHS around the country, so many positive stories and so many people I have met along the way doing amazing things. WELCOME TO THE UNSUNG HERO AWARDS
YOUR NATIONAL AWARDS FOR NON-MEDICAL / NON-CLINICAL NHS STAFF & VOLUNTEERS WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY.
The Unsung Hero Awards provide recognition to non-medical/non-clinical staff and volunteers of the NHS who provide quality, individualised care. The aim is to ‘give something back’ to those who continually go above and beyond in their work- work that is often overlooked, despite non-medical and non-clinical employees making up nearly half of the NHS workforce.
Each year the UHAs hold an Awards Gala, where hundreds of attendees from the NHS are welcomed and celebrated for their outstanding achievements. These ‘Unsung Heroes’ are accompanied by Trust colleagues, Senior Management, and our wonderful Sponsors and Partners.
Our 2020 Ceremony held at The Hilton Hotel, Manchester, was a huge success, with a record number of nominations. We’re ecstatic to see support and recognition for our NHS family continuing to grow year on year.
To all of our Unsung Heroes, past, present and future; the Unsung Hero Awards recognises the humbling nature of your work, and the heart-felt pride you have in working for one of the UK’s greatest achievements: the NHS.
